October Twelve

I love the look of these gingham skirts from American Apparel
But really, they're way too short for me and more than I can afford.

I don't want to break my 'buy nothing new in October' vow just yet, so I've bought some secondhand fabric and zipz from Trademe. I've drawn up the pattern already from Gertie's tutorial, and I'm ready to roll!
Or rather cut and stitch. Hehe.

Shoud be a reasonably easy sew. American Apparel stuff is all to short for me! I got a neat skater skirt and it just shows off the chumbawamba part of my thighs :( Post a picture when you make one! You should put pockets in it too. I LOVE pockets! YUM!

Ah, if only gathering wasn't so EVIL. I managed to make it only after unpicking my first attempt. AA stuff seems to be made for girls with REALLY slim legs, it's so disappointing.
